The YMCA of West Central Florida is part of the YMCA of the USA, the largest not-for-profit community service organization and one of the largest charities in America serving men, women and children.
Since 1965, the YMCA has provided programs for kids, families and the community throughout Polk County. Programs have taken place in homes, schools, churches, parks, campgrounds, hotel pools and in our own facilities.
YMCA programs are values-based and designed to build in people the core character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA is inclusive and welcomes all faiths, races, abilities, ages, and incomes. Our strength comes from bringing people together and building community.
The YMCA is volunteer-led, by a Board of Directors. Because of the charitable giving of individuals, companies, and foundations, the YMCA is able to provide financial assistance to those unable to pay the full program or membership fee.
